Profile reward

The profile reward is a one-time bonus, paid in your currency, that a user earns the first time they complete their profile — the short set of demographic and screener questions that determine which surveys they qualify for. Profiling unlocks the survey wall, so the profile reward is a strong incentive to finish it.

Recommended

Setting a profile reward typically increases initial engagement and retention. We recommend 10–20% of your exchange rate. It is a one-time reward for first-time users, and it is publisher-funded (not subsidized by TapResearch).

Setting it up

Configure the profile reward on the currency, right next to the exchange rate, in App → Settings → Currency. You can set it per currency variant, so different cohorts can receive different profile rewards. Leave it at 0 for no profile reward.

How it's paid

• Paid once per user, the first time they complete profiling.
• Paid in your virtual currency, in the amount you set — a currency amount, not a USD value run through the exchange rate.
• Delivered through your normal reward callback, the same way as a survey completion. In the SDK's TRReward, it arrives with payoutEventType: profile_reward.
